The best part of this system is that audio from both wireless connections can be used simultaneously.
On some other games like forza horizon 5 or Fortnite, only the gaming output will work when using sonar on SteelSeries GG. Rather, the Arctis Pro Wireless features a dual-wireless system where its lossless and low latency 2.4G connection is used for gaming while Bluetooth is used to connect to mobile devices. Let's not talk about the mic, everyone knows steelseries mics' suck. This problem does not happen at all on multiplayer worlds. Hate to break it to you but a wireless headset or a gaming headset won't sound very good atm.
I said to myself 'I dont seem to hear a difference', plus the fact that the Arctis 7 were wireless I needed a lot of convincing in the sound department to make me fully switch.
You can use the EQ to fine-tune your sound independent of your setup and the games sound design until you get the results you are looking for. Do a good EQ with stereo headphones and you're golden.Īlso the arctis 9 wireless are probably one of the worst headsets out there especially for the price. When I first unboxed and set up my SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC I was instantly comparing it to my Arctis 7s in sound quality. The best part of being able to use an EQ is that there isnt a single universal setting, everyone will experience sound differently. You might feel like you can hear footsteps better but it is only actually EQ that the VSS is messing with. Therefore using stereo is the best and cleanest audio for the best accuracy as possible. VSS can't help with vertical sounds, only good game audio design can. Putting VSS on a game that is meant for stereo or real speakers will make the sound cues unnatural and unpredictable making pin pointy accuracy harder. And again, let alone music, no one that knows a bit about audio uses VSS. There are many audiophiles within the community and I wondered what settings you folks would recommended adjusting or perhaps existing owners of the Steelseries Arctis 5 can share their custom EQ settings. The reason why stereo and binaurally recorded audio played in stereo headphones is better is because the game's sound design is meant for stereo or real 7.1 or 5.1 speakers making it sound like crap with VSS (virtual surround sound).
